I was planning a New England tour, and I found my iPad immensely useful, in fact indispensable, for planning the trip and for having with me once I was on the road. I needed to have a file with my iPad 3 specs with me, because I wasn’t sure how to use all the newest features and I also needed some pretty slick apps, but all of that was worth it.

I drove from Ohio into New England, specifically visiting Massachusetts, Vermont, and Connecticut. I had several purposes for the journey: Soaking up some culture, visiting a maple syrup mecca and some authentic Vermont covered bridges, and taking in a fantastic concert. But beyond the arts and culture, I was driving my kid to visit a number of colleges, so planning was essential.

We used the iPad for mapping, for itinerary planning, for booking hotels, for finding cool sight-seeing opportunities, and more. It was fun and we are pretty sure she’s going to get into the University of Vermont.

My four year old daughter really liked it and so did I. She would ask me to play the movie for her again and again. One day she asked me if we could go visit the animals in Africa just like the tourists she saw in the movie I instantly loved the idea and after discussing our options with my husband we decided to take our daughter on African safari tours.  We went to Botswana for a 10 day trip and the experience was truly memorable. Our visit included a trip to the Moremi game reserve and we got to see cheetahs, leopards, lions and wild dogs. We also visited the elephants’ home in Chobe national park. Apart from our outdoor excursions, we also enjoyed fun tours of the city ad wherever we went the people were very friendly and hospitable and the food always tasted great.
